We aim to develop a pattern language for activist practice in making a living economy. We have a big frame on what 'economy' means and might mean.
- An insurgent politics of commoning - in means of subsistence and wellbeing, in culture, and in the emotional landacape - An intention of justice and an aspiration to peace - Radically altered relationships across regions and generations, and with the planet - Deep change in structures of feeling: evolving in pluriverse - Reparation for generations of harm under brutal supremacies - Moving beyond fragments in our movements. - through skilfully cultivating activist capability: a practice of 'formación'. Perhaps, in time, 'a college' (a college of conviviality?)
The primary activity manifests in a bunch of federated-wiki websites, developing a narrative of making a living economy.
Here we describe the foprop weave as a narrative frame for thinking about and enacting activist practice in making a living economy.

The project aims to develop the narrative in these wikis (and a corresponding more rigorous, evolved pattern language) through conversations and collaborations, across a diverse community of activists in 'the mutual sector'. Eventually, we might be a 'college'.
We do this through the Vox blog, and through the `commons.hour` series of online gatherings. foprop 2024 blog - Recent posts Vox commons.hour news
Contact routes for: mike hales, the foprop pattern language(ing) practice or the conviv college(ing) project, for making activist formations, for making a living economy, beyond the fragments. Includes the `commons.hour` series of online gatherings.
A collective will be opened at OpenCollective, where friends can crowdfund/subscribe to the activity. Watch this space xxx
